             Back in August or so, last year, DC comic printed high heels came into the picture and in no time it became like a wildfire. To think of it was funny because everyone here seems to be wearing one at night parties. Even a friend of mine had an Archies printed. Maybe I am wrong here but as far as I remember, no one famous person did anything to bring it on trend. It just came in like that and within a few months, it also went out of trend. I never got to wear one out. Not because I didn’t like it but because I really didn’t have enough guts to wear them out. So, why I am writing about this now? Because yesterday, at a shopping mall I saw a girl wearing a Batman printed heels and it didn’t suit her dressing style at all, which was almost formal. I wanted to shout, “Bitch, Batman doesn’t go to office”.

             Well, as we are talking about it now, let me introduced Kylee/etsy. Back when these heels were in the streets, I think Kylee (whoever she is) made a good money out of these heels because of the fact that she takes custom orders of your favorite DC comic characters (isn’t that so cool). I did remember checking her out once and thought it was awesome thing (well you already know, I never order one). So, I did check her out today and see if she still exist, and yes she is still there. Maybe, I should order one this time before everyone starts to wear again. Last heard, Serena Williams was upto something with this kind of comic printed designs at the Wimbledon. You never know with the William sisters…hahaha… Anyway, here are some I found cool from Kyle store and I wish this trend comes in again. God!!! This Kylee girl needs some photography skills to advertise her shoes, now there is a lot of competition out there.

Everyday Fashion

          A few days ago, we decided to on discuss how to collaborate three street fashion bloggers on one platform (who are also the partners of Patchoulii-Flog), like a business meeting. So we agreed to meet at a small boutique, which is run by one of our common friend and is attached to her apartment. And like any meeting, it was a boring argument and putting ideas which one person or other didn’t like. We were actually bored after 2 hrs or so. Luckily we had a camera with us and this was the result of that meeting.

          Picked up a few clothes from our friend shop and got dressed. Sorry, our photographer (supposed to be) is on a holiday at the moment for three weeks and this is the best one of our bloggers came up with, with his little knowledge (or no) of Photoshop. He was not very satisfied with the end result but we convince him that it was quite okay and looks professional over a coffee. What do you think?

          Well, that’s it for now. The meeting was a successful one but we needed some resources here and there and a good web designer to touch on our blog so it looks pretty enough. Unfortunately, we don’t have those resources with us at the moment, so we wait. And oh, we really have no clue of what brand those clothes are. It’s not one of those fancy branded shop and you will not believe us if we tell you the tag name attached to those clothes.

Russian Street Fashion Diary: "The Russian Mafia"

             When we talk about street fashion style in Russia, there is no way we are not going to run into these five gorgeous ladies, Miroslava Duma, Ulyana Sergeenko, Elena Perminova, Natalia Vodianova and Natasha Goldenberg, better known by the name “The Russian Mafia”. Now this is not the kind of street fashion you might be expecting because they are rather more of a “fashion elite” making spectacular presence in most fashion weeks around Europe. A true inspiration for a street fashion bloggers, we take a glimpse of their lives.

 

Miroslava Duma aka Mira: 

             At only 160 cm height, this cutie is an IT girls and is the founder of the fashion news Buro 24/7. Started as the Social Event Editor at the Russian Harper’s, Mira is currently living at the Plaza Hotel in New York and works as a freelance editor for Tatler Magazine, OK (Russia) and Glamour (Russia). That must be real tough life ahahaha.

Ulyana Sergeenko: 

             A fashion designer, photographer, stylist and a blogger was first criticized and made fun by the fashion industry for her folkloric skirts. Now as a couture designer, people stand in line to see her shows and wear her skirts. That makes her the bold and not the slave of the trend and her style is usually a combination of the 19^th century Russia from the fifties vibes. She love vintage and we love her.

Elena Perminova: 

             As a young girl, she was arrested for distributing drugs in disco and sent to witness protection program after she collaborated with the police where she actually met her future husband and fall in love while studying economics at the Moscow State University. Today at 25, she is a model.

Natalia Vodianova: 

             She represents some of the greatest names in Runway, like the Givenchy, Chanel, Marc Jacobs, Yves Sail Laurent, Louis Vuitton and Stella McCartney to name a few and you won’t even believe us if we say she is a mother of 3 kids. Today she lives in Paris and yes she can afford it, she is the 3^rd most paid model today and is also an actress.

Natasha Goldenberg: 

             A mom, a fashion style icon and a fashion designer, she launched her own label “Tzipporah” (line of beanies, turbans and accessories). Currently working as the director at Kova & T, she use to work as a journalist for Hello Russia Magazine and Russia Grazia. We hear that Miroslava Duma is her best friend. Now we know why we love her so much.
